CREED

i'm a huge fan of the rocky franchise. despite the overwhelming negativity surrounding the sequels, i love them all.

Again, despite the negativity, i adored the "final" film in the franchise "Balboa." I thought the writing was rich and the film's character development was reminiscent of the first movie. You fell in love with Rocky all over again.

When i learned of Creed, i was beyond excited. Especially knowing Michael B. Jordan would be starring. In spite of my excitement, I knew that i was a fan. fans tend to give more leniency to a movie's grade. Walking in, i knew that i would be guilty of this. i knew that it would be as if this movie was to me the way an awkward looking baby would be to its mother. Beautiful.

but it was even better than that!

the heart, the acting, the writing, the cinematography, the soundtrack, the intensity, the blood, sweat, and tears all make this film worthy of mentioning it in the same breath with the original Rocky. GO SEE IT!
